Celebrated designer,  Rani Totman of St. Pucchi, introduces bridal couture at affordable prices in the Anais Collezioni.

Q: How would you describe the St. Pucchi bride?
A: The company was built upon the idea that every woman dreams of being a princess bride and wearing a grand gown that takes people's breath away! Over the years the line has been influenced by artistic inspirartion---not by the trends of the day. One thing that sets St. Pucchi apart from other bridal houses is its signature opulence and craftsmanship.

Q: How have you seen bridal fashion evolve over the past 25 years?
A: Like everything else in fashion, bridal styles have changed. Think of the big puffy sleeves of the Eighties, the high necklines of the Nineties and the pastel dresses of the 21st century. In recent years we have seen a return to simplicity in structure and silhouette. The emphasis now is on the details: a flower placed near a shoulder hem, a splash of color on the waist or the strategic use of lace.

Q: Tell us about your plans for the future.
A: My newest project is the Anais Collezioni. Working with brides to design their dream dresses has brought me so much joy over the past 25 years that my sons and i have decided to make it a family business. We were inspired to launch an affordable luxury line because we felt there was a need in the marketplace for quality and innovative style at an affordable price, which is what the Anais Collezioni is all about. While St. Pucchi is classic in nature, Anais is a modern, flirty and whimsical take on bridal design.
